Beadnell ???

Areet Fellas. I'm heading up caravan tonight for weekend. Weather permitting gonna hit Beadnell on Sunday morning. Float and abit spinning. Never fished it before so can anyone giz abit advice on what bait, what size hook, what length between hook and float, size spinner, size bullet lead, size rod n reel, strength braid, best knot, how to hook bait on, what brand of hook, casting distance, shoes to wear, socks to compliment shoes, sarnies to take, excuse to use to SWMBO as to why I've been so long? All of which will be appreciated.

Just parking and finding Skeer will do. Think ive got the rest under control! I'll be taking SWMBO on a "romantic" walk tonight to check place out !
I'll be calling into AAC for abit Rag on Saturday, so will have abit Craic with Norma, always helpful.

best of luck big fella still abit to early and with that northey wind it might put a bit colour in the water which is no good we need along period of flat seas now and settled weather but you just never know

As you turn off for beadnell there is a small diner based on the left hand side as you enter beadnell if you continue down that road for a 1/4 of a mile you will approach a small wall overlooking a bay, to the left for 300yds you have delve point and to the right you the knacker hole, as for parking your car will be fine left by the wall overlookin bay, if you are looking for the long skeer beadnell point you should continue to walk 1/4 further down the road towards the harbour and on your left there is a small metal gate if you walk through that gate you are then walking onto the back of the long skeer, all of the shots on your walk along will produce summer kelp cod, if you kerp walking along that skeer you will eventually reach beadnell pointand are in with a chance of wrasse pollock cod coaley, as for tackle 30lb braid is more than enough, spinners to 60g, float hook length wpuld be 21/2 foot more than enough but by using the stop knot you can vary your depth to find where the fish are feeding, as for a rod a light bass rod would be the best bet with the chance of hooking a better fish to bully it out otherwise a ron thompson tyran would be weapon of choice with a small size reel, you should use a shockleader to minimize the loss of braid but shouldnt really be necasary

Like fishfingers said it is still probably a bit early for the rock marks. I was up there last week and went on a walk around Beadnell. Although the water clarity has improved, it is still a bit mucky. You may be better fishing the beach, there should be a bit of a swell on this Sunday too and it is a small tide which will help with bait movement. Beadnell beach can produce good flats on rising and falling tides. If you are going to stick to the rocks I would say Knacker Hole (as long as the divers arent around) would be your best shot. Crab baits on the bottom or rag/mackrel/bluey on the float. Im gonna be up that way this weekend looking for fish as well so may see you about.

Cheers buddy. Just worried about the water colour after 2morro. But as I always say, catch **** all in the house drinking lager like I'm doing now!!! Lol.
