  • Swordfish caught off Newbiggin

    Just been on radio 2 that a swordfish has been caught in a salmon net! It\'s been flogged to a local restaurant.

        Saw a mobile phone picture of it last night. Huge fish caught by Peter Dent in his salmon nets. Swordfish do turn up from time to time of this coast. I watched them landing these fish at a market in Spain last year.
        Seems to be the same species that they get in the med.

          could well be some photographs i took of the fish with Peter Dent and his kids in the journal tomorrow.

            just had a lad on the phone, apparently the Chronicle have got all the deatils wrong, havnt seen it but the lad in the photo is not Peter Dent. Not that i would ever get anything like that wrong
