    Am looking at getting a new reel what would u lads and lasses recommend? a mostly fish heavy ground but want something wich a can also get a decent cast with any advice plz?
    Pb cod 7lbs (1.12.12) Tynemouth.

    Best cod since (1.09.13)

    4lbs 3oz (11.10.13) Tynemouth.

    4lbs 7oz (18.10.13) Tynemouth.

    5lbs 3oz (8.11.13) Tynemouth.

        Penn 535 I've got two and I fish the rough stuff no problem or as the lads have said a slosh 30

          What would a be looking to pay for a second hand 535?

            about £40 for a second hand 535 thats how much i paid for mine! if you can john get hold of a 535mag as the 535s can be a bit of a handful to cast with its big metal spool john! the mag calms it right down but you dont lose distance either!

            you could try a USA 525 or 525mag!! never used them myself but have a very good reputaion john!

              saltist 30 m8, i fishing nothing but rough ground in winter and it can handle anything pulls in 1 yard of line every turn of the handle casts very well too. great reels. i have a sl30sh too but since i got my saltist it has never been used

                  Penn 525 mag, original though, none of this sh*t with plastic handles and gold rubbish all over it

                  Best all round reels out there IMO
