Hook snoods

Fished a club comp at caresthorne on Saturday , water was like coffee . I fished with two identical 1 up 1 down rigs with size 2 stinger hooks , the only difference being one had 15 lb black amnesia hook snoods while the other had clear 12 lb stren . Cut a long story short caught 5 flounder up to 38 cm on stren rigs and never had a bite with amnesia! Question is was this coincidence or not

was the stren on the the bottom hook though? that might be why

Hellow mate I would say that the stren would have had abit more movement promoting vibration etc but the amount of tide that was there on Saturday it wouldn't have made a blind bit of diff nor the black amnesia not with the colour in the water flounder are all scent and vibration Paul maybe start ringing the changes in bait tho ie I done better with three head hooked rag and a tag of mack so scent and wiggly vibration. Hope that helps you just look at the other lads gear next match to look for improvements then give them a try
