  • s/shields pier during the summer

think it was last year someone put a catch report on here fishing off s/shields pier during a hot some day.
the catch he had was about 4 sized codling about 2lb each,on the pict you could see he was fishing on the river side of the pier so far along not near the end though.

does it seem to fish canny at times during the summer, any pointers help on this matter as plan to do more fishing this summer and mackie fishing does nothing for me now.

Opposite the 44 or blocks into harbour side, small to Medium tides 3 up 3 down you need a bit water there to clear the rough stuff infront 100yards plus cast and if you hook into a fish reel like hell and watch out for the crab pots normally a few from the post all the way along into the wheel. If the pulls 2 strong try the post or rubble always a bit less pull there. Was fishing it last weekend plenty coalies and undersized codling on rag lug mussel bluey. Crab hasn't been doing much but I reckon it will be shortly had a 2lb codling today was stuffed with crab.
