the orion is a nice rod for clean ground but i prefer the nitra.
but my advice would be to try as many of tour mates rods an see what feels comfortable to you.

The Orion has now been discontinued by Greys but you may still find the odd one in the shops

The Anyfish Anywhere beachcasters are top class

Ask a hundred people and you\'ll get a hundred different answers but I think that you can\'t go wrong with Century rods. The TT Match or even the TT Lite would suffice for clean beaches. We\'re mostly all guilty of fishing too heavy on occasions, 6-8oz beachcasters on a calm nite for catching 1lb whiting. Off a pier with clean ground and no serious tide pull I\'ll often use a TT Ultralite and a 2.5lb TC carp rod.

I\'ll go with ROD-THE-COD on Anyfish rods. I have a 13\'04\" match and it is the dogs danglies for clean ground work or the river at distance.
A bad days fishing is better than a good day at work.
