Ive just picked up a book entitled Shore Fishing from the Tyne to the humber.
Printed in 1969, for £1 at tynemouth market, once Ive read it Ill pass it to anyone whos interested, as long as it is kept track of, just keepp passing it on.
Loads of marks mentioned, and called by different names, ie \"The barge hole\" off seaton sluice harbour, near the sumps Id guess, \"The barge hole is so called because of the barge that was filled with boulders and sunk to protect the south entrance to the harbour\", any old timers remember that??
Maker and inventor of CANNYLINKS, the best rotten bottom system bar none. IMHO!

Not that old Paul. Used to fish off the barge when I was a kid. It\'s not been gone too long.

      hi Paul
remember the barge well, fell off it quite often. Who actually wrote the book, i have one that Dave Higgins wrote for North East Marks, might take some digging out.

          \"Printed in1969\" = 37 years ago.......... Printed in 2005 + 37 = 2042 = 87 years old. Don\'t think I\'ll be up and down those cliffs at 87 lol. Might still be worth £1 though
