  • Right tools for the right job

While I was fishing Cowbar Nab on Saturday morning (a couple of thumps but no fish) I noticed at low tide a bit of line heading out to sea. I pulled it in hoping in vain that there might be a fish on the end. Not so. There was a home made 6oz lead attached to a shockleader using a snap swivel. Accident waiting to happen or what! Anyway I though I would clear the line up so tourists/locals wouldn\'t find any snared and strangled gulls at low water caused by discarded tackle. I collected around 100m of what looked like 15lb line! 15lb line on a venue that is purely mussel covered rocks and thick kelp. Some people seriously have no idea.
