most marks in that area will produce Bass but not many people will reveal where they are due to commercial fishermen watching the forums, sad but true, where are you staying as we go over quite a bit

It is strange that you asked this question jamcod, I came on here to place a thread asking about \"which lures \" to use for Bass fishing on a beach
Ive been trying to catch one on baits for years, with no success Im going to try lure fishing Ive been told rapalas do the trick.
Any tips will be greatly recieved. Good Luck Jamcod hope you get some m8...

catching bass off the beach at Sandhead near Atwell over at the Mull on ragworm 12lb bass was caught their last week hubby has just come back from their, he never had bass as he was fishing at some other mark. The chap in the tackle shop told him.
May the holes in your net be no larger than the fish in it.

ive tried plugging in the ardwell area not as much as i would have liked tho and had no success saw some clonking mullet tho. for bass on plugs try pinnacles where the tide runs over and round this is where they will be hunting trying to ambush sandeel caught up in the tide. the beach at the campsite at ardwell on the left hand side past the chalets has a spot just like this and i was told it was a good chuck

Jamcod as has been said you have to be guarded as to marks because the commercial guys do scan the forums looking for snippets. My mate Manxman got 3 up to 5.5lbs in one session last week on a popper - all were returned

I have a caravan in Drummore and am going over tomorrow for a week. I will be using poppers for the bass.

Can tell you the best popper to use though - Yozuri Aile Magnet SB Slider (18g) its a sandeel imatation.

Shallow water is fine for them, look for mixed ground and especially weedbeds, cast between them.

If I bump into one of you guys over in Luce Bay will gladly put you on a mark and fish with you

Yes for pollack All the bass on the Luce Bay side tend to come from shallow water. Have spooked bass in the shallows whilst wading a few times

                    Jamcod.

the best bait is lugworm by a mile. i fish luce bay all the time and last year my total for the year was well past 100. just look for a beach with a surf running on it and don\'t over cast the fish.
when calm spinners, plugs and poppers will take fish. look for small bays and target the headlands of these bays. they may not look like much but they do throw up fish. terally bay, new england bay, drummore are all top areas. be mobile, an hour here then move.
