  • Telescopic travel rod.

Can anyone recommend a decent telescopic travel rod?

I\'m off to Norway at the weekend for 4 weeks to work, some of the lads already over there have been spinning for cod off the dock and have been getting some decent fish.

    Any help appreciated.

Davey, Gogs recommended a Shimano Exage travel rod for me a while back,I have\'nt bought one yet but Gogs is spot on with his tackle and recommendations so it might be worth looking at http://www.summerlands.co.uk/Shimano_Exage_Rods.htm
      Cheers Alan...

Not to bothered about overall length, as long as it folds down to about 3\' so I can get it in my holdall, a casting weight of 1-2oz would do.

Ron Thomson Zensorflex are pretty decent as telescopic rods go. 8\' or 9\' with a casting weight of 20-40g (approx 1oz to 1.5 oz) cost £13.99 and £16.99 respectively

Never had one come back broken - yet!!!

I\'ll call in for one tomorrow, and a reel as well.

I just picked up a shakespear targa rod reel combo for £26

The rod is 9 foot and casts 30-50 gramms and the reel is loaded with 12lb line

Havn\'t used it yet but seems to be value for money
                Regards, Graham
