2/ 40lbs amnesia traces (to 20lbs amnesia snoods)
    3/ 60lbs leader
    4/ 4oz or 5oz weights (very rare do i use 6oz)

First thing I notice there mate is that your rig body appears to be 40lb and attached to a 60lb leader with up to 5oz lead. The rig body needs to be at least the same strength as the leader for safety reasons.

Also if you\'re fishing the beaches 25lb mainline is very heavy, and not quite heavy enough for rock fishing. 15-18lb mainline is good for beaches and 30-35lb for the rocks.

Right. Attach the shockleader to the mainline using this knot -
    http://www.leadertec.com/tipsandtechniques/fishing_knots/knots_shocker.html

Ensure that the leader has 5 turns around the spool of your reel and then runs the length of the rod and back down to around the bottom ring. Tie on Gemini Genie link which will allow you to quickly and easily swap rigs.

Now you need to set up some rigs (or buy them). Where you\'ll fish and what species you want to catch dictates the type of rig to use. Time for a bit of shameless promotion - if you take a look on my website here:

    http://www.photorecce.co.uk/rigs.html

You\'ll find a description of the rigs componants and diagrams of various popular rigs.

    Hope this helps.
