    alrite lads. Does anyone or has any one ever used bait casters or small multiplyers for spining ect? or do yous tend to use fixed spool if any one could recomend any reels would be great. p.s i have never used a multiplyer before so nothing to technical cheers lads

    I don\'t use them personally but I\'ve got mates who use Abu\'s 5500 and 6500 .
    You can take the lad out of Walker but .......

      Was fancying a baitcaster but have used a multiplyer quite a few times. Got to say I think me wee fixed spool is better. Much more user friendly.

        I\'ve got a couple of Shakespeare baitcasters and an ABU 5000 and 2 6500\'s. I prefer them to fixed spools for spinning although I also use fixed spools depending on the weight of the lure I\'m casting (and how the rod is rung). So basically horses for courses mate.

        I must admit though, if you\'ve never used a multiplier before and don\'t want anything to technical, maybe you should stick with a decent fixed spool.

          I love my baitrunner ,great for leaving a floated bait while you go and do whatever.

            Just got meself a shimano baitcaster and it\'s the mutts. I use multi\'s all the time tho\'. Would say get a lend of one and try it out if you can before you part with your cash
