Les and me fished there on Sunday in a club match for 4 hours.
            Not a bite between us.

The one thing I did remember from from back in the day was bait used.Kipper I know don't laugh but that's what most of the lads fished with and we always seemed to get something out.

I use to fish the mouth of Wansbeck a lot about 20 years ago! It used to be good for flatties, coalies and school bass! Don't remember to many coalies toward the Dam, but plenty flounder! My favourite spot for flatties would be fishing from the small harbour on the cambois side into the 'Flatty Pool' that fills at high tide. I think its still a decent spot for flatties, not sure how its fishing at the moment though!!!

last time i went was in high summer and fished that flattie pool you speak of next to where the boats are, had around 40 fish flatties and coalies with a sea trout of about a pound thrown in all on frozen cooked prawns.... the tackle shops will never tell you that though
