Alreet peoples! been a while since i put an update on this thread, forgot it was here! The next comp is 2mora same times and stuff as b4. The last comp is next week unless you\'ve fished 5 or more comps and then you can fish the super comp the following week.Think you can fish the super comp but not for the super pool money. See you there if any one fancies it

Drew peg 1 on friday, was sick at first cos last time i got that peg i blanked and lost loads of gear, different this time tho, 1st cast got plenty of bites and then a codling of 34cms, then next cast pulled 1 in of 36cms, it went straight in the bucket of water to stop it shrinking too small. Got a steady stream of codling just under the 35cm mark until half way through the comp got a codling that weighed in at 212???(think thats in kilo). As far as i could tell the rest of the pier was quiet except for 2 lads who pulled in a nice codling each, one of which just beat mine at the weigh in, (apologies if theyre reading this i didnt get your names) my 2 codling were enough to get 1st place so had good night after all. Got the fish on crab and lug. Ian Heron has won the league but 2nd and 3rd are still up for grabs, congratulations Ian.

Well dun Jamie. U wernt as sick as me when i drew Peg 40.The highest peg u cud get. Neva had a bite all nite. Most excited I got was when the water kept splashing over the pier at my peg.

Unlucky that mate, probs cursing myself but never had a peg higher than 22 i think, plenty in the mid teens and the pegs past the blocks always seem to get good amounts of fish. Roll on friday! I\'ll be the one next to the gate no doubt!!!

I was peg 19. Me and a lad next to me never caught a fish all night but both lads either side of us were doing ok. Seems they were swimming in an arch when they approached us

Alreet lads, well thats the last of the comps on the pier, its been good to fish another place for a change and from what we\'ve been told its a cracking cod shot in the winter. Me, Paul Harrison, Shaun Clements and Alan(dont know his surname!) fished the super comp on friday night. There was a bit of a sea on so everybody thought there would be some decent fish caught, action was slow with small coalies on the end that alan was getting every chuck! Then there was a flurry of lobsters came in, i think there was 8 between the 10 fishing the comp! Paul got the best of them but it was fish we wanted. I got a pouting of 22cms then for an hour was bricking it coz it was the only sizeable fish on the pier! Tried everything to get another and got a nice codling of 1 1/2lb that settled me down a bit, Ian Heron fishing next to me got a couple of fish and Shaun got a flounder and Paul a pouting. I got one more codling around the same size as the 1st just before the end. It was enough to take the coin and with Paul finishing 2nd in the league and Shaun 3rd we ended up with £30 each. It was a good night and it didnt rain either! Nice to meet you Blackrat, see you for the badgers m8!
