I personally knock em on the head on the corner of a wall or rock, my son uses a cool looking deer antler priest. Each to there own really some people snap the spine from behind the head, we do this for mackerel.

You could cleanly dispatch a sperm whale with a rolling pin
All you need is a 10 inch section of broom handle.
              Stay safe!
              Enjoy your fishing!
              Take your rubbish home!

Ann summers has a canny selection. Don't know why. All different colours and sizes. Must scare the fish to death by the look of some of them. They have settings to help blind anglers find them in the tackle box too.

I made a few for my mates, 10/12 inch bit of thick broom handle, I drilled down the center of it,and filled the hole with molten lead, they'v lasted for years.

got a heavy pair of electrical pliers, use the metal bit, good hard thump on the napper! used to use a small bit of pipe with a heavy nut on the end, both work fine.

for the rare occasion I take a fish, I bash their brains in with my boga grip, using the handle end.
