Going over in two weeks time for a weekend in the caravan park there. One of those cheapie deals out of the papers.

Not taking the beachcaster but will have my spinning gear. Any info on marks would be appreciated. Thinking pollack or bass but if there are any decent flattie marks will take a few worms along .

Any good shots at Mossyard just around the corner?

Where is this mark in relation to the car park???

And in reply to you Nicky tried Ardwell Back Bay this morning but Mr pollack was not at home. Had the bonus of watching the gannets diving in,watching two hares \"boxing\" and seen a pair of falcons.

Tim at Ardwell Marine said that the odd mackerel(big) was being taken from the flat rock at East Tarbet.

Mr tope will not be long then

Snatcher Garvellan is the bigger rock,it does\'nt get cut off as such as the sand is built up between the island and the mainland
the grass car park is where the IRB Station arrow is

Had a bash on the Saturday morning at high water at a spot in the Kirkubright area.Gear was a 10\'spinning rod, fixed spool loaded with 15lb mono. Ledgered sandeel was the bait. Got one almighty take and most the mono began to vanish off the spool What a scrap, must have lasted 10/15 mins cos could not bully it on light mono. Got it to the shore and I bent down expecting to lift out a good bass. What a shock when I saw a tope of about 10lb on the end

Pleased to say it was hooked lightly in the corner of the mouth so with the aid of pliers unhooked it in the water and away she swam. Got one LSD before I packed in.

              Thats me one happy bunny
