I know this gets put up quite a bit, just a notion has anyone tried putting cart in a ziplock bag, just i thought it would be less hassle than clarting about with cling film / knots in finger bandage etc

Never tried it but you could try.
The only problem being is the bag would have to be small enough to put on your hook and cast it.
Would it just split as it hit the water and all the cart just fall out?
I fined if you use finger bandage I wrap my cart in kitchen roll before I put it in the bandage so it doesn't washout to quick .

I’ll give the bag ago over the summer into the kelp.
Had fair results over the winter with finger bandage wrapped over with a squid mantel, been using the arma mesh funnel system with 15mm stretched over the 22mm funnel which works fine but just a bit time consuming after dismantling a score of hens, anything to make life easier….
