Cracking post from the westwind, good advice. Steady away and you will soon get further. Overfilling of your reel would probably cause more problems than you think mate.

Sorry for the late reply, Thank you all for your advice, I tend to fish up tyne round about mill dam, I\'m not rich enough to fish the pier, I lose too much gear, I venture out to the rat house in sunderland as well as roker pier
Tigger, take Jim up his offer mate, he\'ll sort you out, best go to a beach on an ebb tide though, so Jim has a chance of getting his shock leader back
