Hi gents,
I took my 6yr old son to dig some bait today with no success. we got to Hartlepool for low tide at 11 and went to the inside of the Middleton after an hour of back breaking digging we didnt get a single worm. we went to the other side of the Middleton and dug for another half an hour again resulting in no worms.
while digging we found hundreds of what can only be described as dead lug worms, they were everywhere! Any ideas what these were and if they are usable as bait??
I have dug in these spots years ago and got a lot of worms, any ideas where i have gone wrong or where i could try??
Silver lining is that i managed to find some mussels to use as bait.
Cheers!!
