  • Ebay Abu rods

I am looking to do some lighter fishing in the coming months and I've bought loads of light lures etc while they were cheaper in the winter.
Are these rods much cop, looks a good deal for two of them. Anyone got any pros/cons regarding them?

I got an Abu carbon spin devil and an Abu Avocett fixed spool for £34.99 from Ebay last summer it's a great little spinning rod for light lures, well worth the money for a rod and reel.

                  Hi Mark
I bought a couple of these last summer, coupled with a pair of small abu baitcasters, great little rods for the money but very light weight, I think they are seconds as the spigots on both rods were a bit loose, make sure they are well pushed in and they are fine. I only used them on the boat and great fun for smaller fish and macky with a single lure, handled lures upto about 30grms casting well but much more would be a push.

After playing with these last year I have upgraded to a pair of savage gear bushwacker lure rods, same baitcaster reels, which can handle lures upto 100grms, plan is when conditions allow to have a go at them coddies over the rough ground from the boat close in. Weather and water clarity not playing yet but it will before long.

My experience was for the money a bargain for one season to try something different, if you are looking for a bit of kit that has a bit more backbone and will last a bit longer may need to spend a little bit more!!

                  Cheers Dave

Thanks for that mate, going to give them a miss if that's the case. I'm going to have a look at the Yuki rod at Moonfleet.
