  • Suitcase and rod tube all packed and ready for Gambia

Its that time of year again for our annual Gambia trip. Going a little later this year (leaving tomorrow night) as we normally go in February. Fishing the West African Shore Fishing Championships over four days starting on Thursday. It has according to all reports fishing better this year than it has for a long time so hopes are high. 30 lads fishing the competition with £3000 to pay out and also super pools each day. Hopefully have some good pics and report when we get back.

got them on for nowt last year, the previous year they charged us a £10 each (after an argument) went back into thomas cook a few weeks ago to see if they would class them as sporting goods this year after an hour of ringing loads of departments she said they wouldnt, i've done some digging about on the net and apparently they are classed as sporting goods and should be charged at £30 (£15 each way) with a 15kg limit on them but no one at thomas cook seem to know which department they need to contact.
