Not that I ever fish there either (or anywhere else at the moment) but I always preferred the Free Zone when I was in BOTAC. It\'s the area around the old wooden structure.

My fave chuck Anth. As Dave says the \'four poles\' is a good high water shot with a big sea running in from the East/S. East. fishing into the river or off the back wall into the cauldron?( i think it\'s called) 40-50 yard chuck. Also the ramp casting into the haven. Theres a patch of rough ground half way along the pier casting into the river which can hold fish. Anywhere on or near the end into the river or straight out. The back wall can fish almost anywhere but is a tackle graveyard (the old pier founds run alongside before turning North East 150 yards before the end. Into the river is relatively snag free from about the last set of small railings to the end, though there are rocks up to 15 yards out which they dropped to use as founds for the pier. I preffer an ebbing tide into the river side. 2 up & down for the back wall.
Dont fish it if theres any water coming over, its not worth the risk, there has been people swept off to their deaths
