  • Fresh vs Frozen Crab

Probably a daft question but is fresh noticeably better ? I have only ever used frozen because I don't really know how to prepare it.

In order to become "old & wise", you must first be young & stupid.

I heard the frozen ones contain horse meat !!
If its got t1ts or tyres, its gonna be trouble.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem

Thanks lads, how do you prepare fresh peeler crab ? I have found a few and know how to tell when they are peelers. Just don't know what to do with them.

Make sure they are popping before you try to peel them, push the underside of the crab if is soft it starting to pop/peel, or its back will be hanging off. You can peel them when there hard but if you haven used them before you'll make a right mess of them

Pull the legs off one by one, go gentle though a there wont be much crab left if you dont
Then peel the back and underside off, when no more shell left on remove the lungs and eye sockets
Cut in half and thread on to your hook using bait elastic, also peel the legs to put on the end to tip it off with
