    To catch the big fish you\'re probably best fishing the kelpy areas. A lot of the cod have left the shores by now but the reddies are pretty much resident fish. You\'ll get a good knock, a good bite, a good fight and the a good kick in the balls when it gets stuck under a rock or in kelp and you can\'t get the bugger in. That\'s the joy of big fish hunting. Welcome to sea fishing and good luck.

    Just an extra pointer. Fishing at night will generally improve your chances of a catch (unless spinning for mackrel )

      You are from washington so you should try fishing anywhere from roker to shields mate loads of marks within the 20 mile radius you want
