The water is that deep I would say it may not matter! Many a happy day at Dunstanbrough \'macky bashing\' and have never considered the tide.
So long and thanks for all the fish! (www.lsbsac.co.uk)

Like hedley says it doesn\'t really matter but you need to know where your chuckin.
Get your self up there on the next big tide at low water to see where the kelp beds are and thats where you need to be aiming for.
Wouldn\'t attempt to fish it with any sea running.
Find cullernose very over rated, have had better results up towards dunstaborough cushait steel area.

Good advice Paul, the water is deep and the sea comes in very hard so theres a good chance you could get washed off or swamped,if in doubt dont bother mate

Cullernose is the most over-rated mark in the north east.

And it`s some hike to Dunstanburgh !

          Usually worth the walk, though.

The best and nearest place to park is at Dunstan Steads.

It`s signposted down to your right, between Craster and Embleton.

Just follow the track down and park up.

Not sure about the castle just now, but you walk around the outside.
