As you seen i have the 13ft wr300 and its a great rod prob the best beach caster i had so far, very stiff with a good bite detection as well as being light so i would think the 14ft version would be just as good if not better.

P.S did you get much in the comp ?

ive been using a longbeach for over a year now and find it a really usefull tool for roughground work,it makes fishing through kelp a lot easier than some other so called rock rods ,plus you can steer the fish with this rod on the retrieve,it is also good on open beaches ,but comes into its own on the rough stuff.its hard to explain how good this rod is ,i\'m sure terry at reelsports would let you try one out ,and anwser any questions you have .he will build the handle to your spec .hope this is some help

cheers ollie, the fishing was spot on over xmas with some good bags of fish, will let you know on sunday night how it is as i am out for 3 days as of tomorrow dinner time with bigman tonybax and some other lads from their club, crackoff from the board is up at the same time so there should be some fish caught even with the forecast flat seas.

                  gogs.

sounds like its going to be a good session with all the lads, and i\'m glad someones catching lol ,trouble is that down here we now have to rely mostly on a good northerly to bring some decent fish within range .There are marks that hold resident fish but not like years ago .But on the plus side ive noticed a hell of a lot of small codling which can only go to show that hopefully we may get some good runs of fish in the next few seasons providing ,the restrictions are inforced .i HOPE YOU AND THE LADS HAVE A GREAT TIME

Gogs, my Longbeach-Response is 14ft 2ins if you count the reducer which is permantently in. It isn\'t glued just taped in. I cast down the butt and it gives me a little bit more leaverage when I\'m fishing rough ground
