Are red codling ok to eat? Never caught one big enough to keep but
have I heard rightly that they\'re full of worms?

for some reason the ones around eyemouth tend to be full of worms not very vice to look at, put fillett in some salty water they soon come out, or just cook the things.

I went fishing last May it was the 18th Id been on the beach with the kids and when I got in I just yearned to go down the jetty at skinningrove I found a bit of squid in the freezer and went not expecting to catch anything and I ended up with a 4.5lber and a 5.5lber best two fish I had all last season...
              Its a queer game fishing?

last year i had cod from august onwards, not many but still had a few.
head further north, the rocks at craster will still produce cod

                        cheers

seen lads from Crimdon catching codling from Lyne burn last year on a good sea in June.I was very impressed, the sea had been up for a few days so it must\'ve brought the fish closer to shore..so you just never know......

its worth trying 4 the reddies lads i think they put up a better fight in the summer than the winter cod.
had more fish in the summer gone than this winter, 5 reddies at 4 1/2lb.
                                2- 5lb, 3- 3 1/2lb & 1 fresh run cod at 8lb mostly from hartley skeer &
                                the cressent.
