I have had a lot of fish off Middleton at Low water, in fact i think its better for the biggies at Low water on a big spring tide when its heavy but for the better bags its better at High.
Middleton pier is situated at the bottom end of Middleton road towards Hartlepool Marina Go as far down this road as you can passing Garlands call centre and park next to the Small Crafts Pub which is on your right next to Seymour engineers yard. Dont park here on a night though or your car will be gone.
If you have any problem finding which 1 middleton is its the one without the star blocks on it, the rest like the skelly,Banjo and Pilot all have Starblocks on the end.
Hope this helps.

Ralph, I fished the Middleton Friday gone and got 1 undersize codling about 1 hr after low water. My son lost a decent one coming up the wall
All that were caught where whitey. If you\'re driving go to the Smallcrafts and turn right, it brings you to a lit car park in front of some flats,it also has cctv and backs right on to the pier, just drop down the wall.
