  • Ghost a blyth harbour!

My mate fished blyth harbour at the river o friday night from about 12-1.30 and reckons he seen a bloke who introduced himself as Bryan Storey (think that was the name, was ****ed in tiger), this bloke seemed to dissapear, then my mate went down the jetty and seen a reef with bryans nameand march 11 2002 engraved, I was whelming up when he told me. Doesn\'t kno if anyone was taking the **** and this actually happened or if it was a ghost???? He did say the bloke was in his 50\'s talked in a past sense about fishing with some lads from killingworth (thats were hes from) and wore a hat with long hair. Dont really want to alarm anyone.

I remeber a mate of mine telling me he was on the rocks at Cullercoats one night and saw a light on North Crab Hill. He decided to go an join him thinking it could be me as i was always there. When he got there nobody and there is no way off other than the way he went on. Spoooky

I mentioned this to Jim (willywetegg) a while back when we were fishing on S Shileds pier...............

about 6 years ago, not long after me & our Ian 1st took up fishing, we were having one of our (then) usual Friday all nighters on Shields pier. Being new and keen, we stayed out all night and even for a couple of hours into daylight. One night we were fishing at the gate - must\'ve been around 2:00am-ish, when a guy dressed in just trousers and a shirt - no socks or shoes - came up to us, smiled, climbed round the gate and headed off into the darkness, up the pier.

We stayed at the gate for another couple of hours, then decided to move up the pier......went to the 44 - no sign of this guy all the way up to the 44. Fished the 44 for a few hours, then moved to the end when it was light - STILL no sign of the guy. He didn\'t come back when we were at the gate - he was nowhere to be seen all the way up the pier and he never walked past us at the 44.

A jumper?......mebbies.......seemed strange he was walking up there with no shoes & socks on

Remember you telling me about that one mate, very spooky lol.

Not sure if I told you about this the same night or not.

I used to be bar manager in my last job. One night a mate of mine and I were having a late drink when we heard footsteps from the pool room towards the wall housing the gas fire. We both stopped talking and looked towards the noise but there was no one there.

Lots of times in our cellar things would be switched off and there were only two people that ever went down there, my boss and myself.

I used to laugh at him when he used to mention \"the ghost\". Not after that night though lol.

                      Jim.
