  • Which spinning rod?

We now have two Bass type rods, or we will do when we come down and pick them up and I bought Lynn a shakespeare endeavour for the dreaded mackerel. I am still on the lookout for a similar light rod for the macks. Any ideas of what to buy? I'd be pairing it with a Shimano baitrunner 5000re.

    Thanks in advance.

I use a Shakespeare alpha x bass rod for the macky , lovely and light and casts a good distance with a 2oz lead . handles 4 at a time up seaham pier ..the full range is here ---- Search results for: alpha x – Glasgow Angling Centre

or if you can source 1 local to avoid silly pnp prices.

I'm gonna check this out in the week Moonfleet Angling - Sea Fishing Adjustable Rigs it's listed as a boat rod but been informed its multi purpose. If your on Facebook search moonfleet on there as there is a video of this range on the page
