  • braid leader

after watching a video about braid I've been looking at 10lb fireline braid if i filled my fixed spool braid spool up with it what leader would be best..would 60lb shock leader and an alright knot do the job?

the albright knot will be just fine but 10lb braid seems a bit light unless your fishing clean beaches only

i use 14lb fireline on one of my smaller reels. ok for lobbing a couple of ounces but add a 30lb leader if casting up to 3oz.

i use a half hitch/grinner but the grinner has 9 turns on it.

sorry m8 forgot about your leader you probably know this but it's 10lb for every ounce your casting so your 60lb leader is good for 6 ounces if that's what you're intending to cast
