Ive got 2 of each, all are loaded up with heavy line which i use for fishing heavy ground i personly find them as good as each other and if i was to buy another i would buy the sl30 and put the saved cash towards some line or hooks.

There was a similar thread on the TSF site recently and if I\'m not mistaken Henry Gilbey seemed to think the same and I think liked the older ones better.

I was just reading about Henry Gilbey\'s choice of tackle on his Website http://www.henry-gilbey.co.uk

I have just noticed the day of your post, so you have probably already purchased you reel. I will post it anyway in case anyone is interested in Henry\'s site.

I bust mine dropping it out of the airing cupboard so need a new one. One complaint though is it seems to go through bearings, the older model. Have had to replace them on my SL30 and SL20. Still excellent and use them more than any other.
