Neist Point, Skye for great Pollack. Bit of a hike but so worth it.
Ray.
Skye has some good marks if you don't mind a long walk.
On the mainland, Loch Carron and some marks on the west side of the Applecross peninsula look like they should be stuffed with pollock. I took a spinning rod up there one year but it was too early; you should be OK by late May when the pollock start to show. Even if the fishing is poor, the scenery makes up for it and the Bealach na Ba road must have been built for motorbikes. Take care there.
Thanks Kev
I am looking forward to the fishing & scenery and yes I have heard the roads up there are some of the best biking roads there is . I only hope they have filled all the pot holes in by then
Did a bit of spinning off the Ardnamurchan Peninsular a couple of years ago, got a few small Pollack but I reckon there's some bigger ones there too.
I'll go more prepared in May this year!
