  • beach fishing.... see if ive got the right idea....

i might be being daft here...if im wrong plz shout up!

as far as i understand it....if i go on a beach at low tide and see where there are exposed pools of water / holess running along to the shore thats where i should be casting come high water
the holes fill with water and the fishies go in and munch on food thats been disturbed by the breakers

Best conditions for beach fishing round here is anytime theres a few decent waves and theres east in the wind directon on the telly

now then..rocky patches on beaches - can you fish them when its a bit flatter cos there food hidin around the rocks and stuff and your not relying on waves to bring food out the sand? the sort of place i mean is off the end of sluice harbour wall past the rocky outcrop

is that right or am i talking bollox???

    cheers

ps im going out sat mornin if soomeone fancies teaching me everything !!lol

go along with your first statement, move from hole to hole and gulley to gulley as the tide recedes. Fish beaches mainly during hours of darkness. You will find that some of your chosen marks fish better on the ebb and others on the flood. Have a wonder along Tynemouth and Whitley Bay Baeches with the big tides, the marks you find there tend to stay there unless there has been severe sand movement. For open beaches like Blyth have a look down the afternoon before or the nearest time you can to when you are going fishing, there will be a lot of sand movement on open beaches with any sea movement. Soon you will be able to tell where these holes are by the waves breaking on bars etc. Forget about beaches when fishing in daylight or calm conditions. Sandy beaches will produce flounders during daytime when calm and flounders and whitng after dark. In general that is.
