  • new member and a novice!!!

    just thought id say hello im new here and pretty new to this fishin lark as well (ive been out the sum total of 4 times since i got me rod last week )


    so no doubt you\'ll be sick of me askin mundane stupid questions every 5 minutes
    so i apologise in advance !!!

      No worries, Anth......\"knowing nothing\" is the way we ALL start off doing something new.

      There\'s a wealth of advice, know-how and experience to be gained on here.........ANY sea-fishing questions (no matter how basic or \"mundane\" you might THINK they are).....JUST ASK........I guarantee you\'ll get the right answers here.

          well i live at bedlington and i have been to newbiggin and blyth pier fishing....caught a whiting ( tiny one at that ) and a dab (1lb ish )

          ive got a cheap 12ft beach caster and a fixed spool that cost a total of 40quid but i already feel addicted !!! and can feel a new rod and reel comin later in the year!!!!

            Welcome to NESA anth. Don\'t go rushing into buying new gear, wait till you have had a go of one or two different rods first. Plenty of lads from NESA fish around those areas mate and most wouldn\'t mind you having a go, myself included.

            Sure to bump into you in the near future mate so just keep your eye\'s open for when we are out.

              hello anth, i\'m originally from bedlington myself but have since moved to cramlington. Havcing budget gear is nowt to worry aboot i fished next to a lad at newbiggin with ancient gear and he could hardly cast, but he pulled in two cod biggest was about 5lb whilst i could only manage a flounder. i\'m off out tonite probs bog hall or snab point, has anyone got any idea what the seastate is.....

                  Welcome Anth ,as mentioned just feel free to ask anything mate ,loads of us fish those areas ,I\'ve not even fished Newbiggen at all this year and I hope to pull something out around there before the winter ends.

                    well if anyone spots a 6foot bloke with a yellow tupperware box for fishng tackle and a bike light on a string as a head-lamp then say hello!!!!

                    deffo going out to seaton aluice tonight the baby is cryin and i need a de-stresser

                    the joys of teethin 1 yr olds!!!!
