here you go m8 here are a few marks i fish over there.

First stop is silloth, the first mark is the promenade which is fished 2 hours either side of high water, here you can expect flounder, dabs, plaice, LSD and the occasional bass will show here.
This is easy fishing as you can park right next to the mark. Spring tides can be unfishable here due to the strength of the tide on the Solway so best to fish on medium tides.
Best baits are ragworm/lugworm and peeler when the crabs are peeling.
Next is the harbour at silloth, this is again a high water mark, same baits as above and the same species. Try adding a bit squid when fishing for plaice when they are in this can work well.

Next is the famous Tommy Legs, you can’t miss this mark; it’s a light beacon to show the deep channel on the Solway you can see it when looking out to sea from silloth harbour. It’s a bit of a walk as the tide seems to go out for ever. Fish here 2 hours either side of low water, you can access the mark earlier if you want to wade on but beware as there are deep gullies which can catch you out and can sink in the gullies.
When fishing Tommy Legs setup left of the light beacon when looking straight out to sea. You can fish the old mussel beds or about 30 yards to the left is also good. Watch out on the flood as casting to the right can be a bit snaggy at times. chance of an early bass if its the back end of april when you fish.

Ragworm will out fish peeler crab here but peeler does work, Lugworm is also really good bait locally dug is best at silloth you can expect, flounder, plaice and dabs, with the odd LSD and can be good for bass when in season

you could alsop fish dubmill point for plaice etc aswel just down from mawbray, park next to the farm and fish 3 hours before high tide and back down also good for bass when they are in.

be careful of tides as when they come in and start to flood the come in fast, sometimes faster than you can pick up your gear to retreat i found out the hard way
Species 2012 - Cod, Flounder, Dab, Plaice, Pollock, Eelpout, Common eel, Granny Fish, Whiting, Coalie, LSD, Rockling, Bass.
