port fishes best on a very heavy sea... the type of sea that renders virtually every other mark unfishable...
but i take my hat off to you on trying it in very poor conditions for the mark....
bet you slid back a couple of times when climbing back up the muddy steps and bank...
did you loose many leads... and did you fish off the jetty or the scars to the south of the bay...keep it swinging

little run is a doddle compared to port... if ya havent fished it before go down during the day and fish the tide out then back in.... its a canny mark and usually throws decent bags out when the are loads of fish about.. but it hasnt come up with the goods this season...
i prefer to start on the sand just to the left of little run but past the yacht club then move around when the tide starts to drop out ..start casting straight ito the gulley/ runner then move to the right of it and follow the tide out casting into little run from the side... follow it right out as often fish can be caught there in 2ft of water...
conditions play a very big part for this mark just like port... the rougher the sea the more chance of fish...although the odd rogue cod can be caught when the sea isnt quite right.... good luck
cheers
Paulkeep it swinging
