    Went out for the usual Friday night fishing - needn\'t have bothered

    Only had about 4 casts and decided we were onto a loser!

    Flat sea, tide ripping out like it was late for an appointment somewhere else and a 30mph Westerly blowin\' (with gusts well in excess of that)

    Gave up - went home - 18 year old single malt (Xmas pressie) - and several cans of John Smiths in the fridge.

    Oh well, here\'s to next time, hic !! :P

    your not wrong TC the wind was shocking over Xmas - i blame the mushy peas - and Strongbow. :P :P

      Mushy peas and Strongbow that\"s some mix Bri. lol. Well Tony as I havn\"t been able to get out the last couple of weeks I am going up to Blyth west pier this after noon, should get there about 3;00 pm so anyone else there keep yer eyes open for me will be fishing near the bend or if its bad round the bend. Will post a report when I get in later whether I catch or not.
      Remember, some people are alive simply because it is illegal to shoot them.
