    Is the oil you get when you buy a 525, 535 any good.

    If not what do you use Touch wood not had a birds nest for ages but my reels seem to be running slow even with the brakes fully off.

    Would now like to speed them up a bit but still use them as fishing reels and not casting reels.

      the oil you get with them is rocket fuel anyway, ( yellow. )
      made in s.w. scotland.

        my old slidy mag 525 not the super mag i used to put gearbox in the bearings for fishing purpose, a lot depends how you cast how much line you have on reel plus line dia john
        did you know panel pins comes in diff sizes ?

                I think it does a bit,then again distance casting is\'nt the end of the world,A well looked after reel is more important
