  • What rod ?

Hi I'm looking to get a rod in the next couple of weeks when I get paid ( if I have any spare cash left that is ) I mainly just fish the river at North Shields and the beach very rarely now and again , so I was just wondering what would be a half decent used rod to look for ?

Fixed spool or multiplier? Ball park budget?

You'll get plenty of good (and varied) advice on here but you need to give a bit more info first

You may be able to pick a used orion up for £50 or so, should do the trick mate. Will cope with the river and also not bad for a canny chuck

You could pick up a used Six & Bait for around the 70-80 mark I would say mate, or a brand new GRXS for about the same price. Both spot on rods for the river or the Six & Bait do you good for most other fishing marks aswell
