Cambois Beach offers plenty of scope - as does the Blyth Beach back down to Seaton Sluice. Which area do you wish to fish?
So long and thanks for all the fish! (www.lsbsac.co.uk)

Whitley Bay beach is ideal for fishing at close range, so long as your on the right marks.

Had some decent results a few years ago fishing down by the Water\'s edge pub (not sure what it is called now), didn\'t get any bigguns but a lot of fist to about 2 1/2 lb.

there should be whiting and flattie on the big beach when flat at shields but there is also loads of undersized coleys you don,t need a big cast 50 -60 yards and you should get fish, fish infront of the wateredge pub or the centre of the beach you should get fish there

Had some decent sized codling, whiting and flounder from the little beach, flatiebasher.
Try infront of the old pipe (South end of the beach) or along by the wall of the prom (where they\'ve recently put railings up).
The ground is usually pretty clean, but after a big sea it can\'t \'arf weed up.

That\'s a big fist Jim, were you standing too close to the steamed up cars mate

The little beach between the groyne and the pier fishes well around 2 hrs either side of high water as well, I prefer to stand about a third of the way along from the groyne (directly between the two piers as you look out to sea) You tend to snag up at low water though with a decent cast.

The last time I fished the big beach at the Mangoes end (formerly the Waters Edge) there was a sandbar just below the low tide mark and fishing the tide down would have put you on top of it in about 6 inches of water. The middle of the beach seems deeper.
