  • wire for soft grip leads

    any idea where i can get this wire from bearing in mind it needs to bend but not too much?I had some copper welding rods which were ideal but they have all been used now,any advice appreciated.

        Rich i think what you are looking for are cuni 1.6 tig welding wire.
        cuni is a copper alloy harder than copper but softer than stainless steel.you could get some from a welding supplier but i dont know the cost i possibly can find out and order you some from work pm me if you want me to try

          cunifer welding wire is very expensive

          try using 1.2mm stainless mig wire its very common in engineering so it shouldnt be too hard to get hold of and with it been thinner should do the job

            ive got some 1.2 stainless tig wire you can have i can get it from work
            thing is some people think its too strong but it does me on the rocks
            if your ever in shields fishing or whatever i will give you some
