  • Who Knows what the Bass management plan is???

I regulally post to another forum on the net and a lot of the contributers are Lads from the south. They have got thier act together and are lobbying parliament to introduce measures degned hopefully to increase the size and number of bass in the sea. They are managing to make the men at parliament see that fish are worth more to the Brittish economy alive rather than dead and eaten. The bass men Have lots of people like Steve Pitts and Leon Roskilly and Steve Coppolo who reguler attend meetings at parliament with the likes of Elliot Morley and Ben Bradshawe, and have joined thier regional sea fisheries committee.

The purpose of my post I guess is to test my theory that Noone or not many of us northerners know anything about the BMP or even care. So come on guys who has heared of the BMP and how many of u actually care what happens to the fish in the sea????? Are Us Guys up North an Apethetic lot?

I would\'nt say we\'re apathetic, and also a lot of the guys I know do catch and release, unless they want one for the table or it is exceptional.
Bass fishing up here,imo,is\'nt practised as much up here as it is down south, probably because we do\'nt have the beaches, and they are not targetted that much.
Also some of the guys I know are members of organisations such as SOS,so I would think some are members of BMP.
