Hi gogs, when you said Ian Golds reckoned or stated there rod stands don’t blow over in the wind. Have you seen this statement written anywhere?
If you have, do you know or can you remember where, if they have said this I am going to try for to get them to pay towards the damage. I have seen Gerrys of Morecambe in the Sea angler quoting they are the best on the market and they don’t fall over
If you have anymore info on whoever else has stated this, please let me know mate.

    Thank you

    Roy

roybert - me thinks you are on a loser on this one - most rod stands will not blow over in the wind , but when you put your rod on - it will catch the wind and tip over - thats what they will say ,i reckon anyway ,its worth a phone call at least

I me’ thinks you might be right too Bri, I was speaking to John earlier and he said they would only come back with something like, I never had the stand up properly
The rods not as bad as I first thought, I have straightened the ring up, it’s perfect now. Only a small piece of the resin covering the double whipping chipped off, so not as bad as I thought. But the reels a rite off, spares only now. Thinking of getting a new rod anyway, Anubis plus, so mite be selling the Kompressor.

      Cheers for the feedback anyway

Hello Roy,not seen it for a while but they used to state it all the time.
Agree with what Bris posted, try the phone call and see how you get on m8.
PS i attribute my appollo snapping in aug to their rods stands continually falling over, have now got a mustad one and its not went over yet (even in a strong side wind)
