just a snap pole ..but how many of us shore anglers go out metal detecting?... it appears that out of all my fishing buddies i,m the only sane one [all the others are metal detectarists]or am i the only one that just fishes for a hobby or perhaps there is a secret metal detecters club[hartlepool/croxdale branch] which ive been blackballed from.... Myself i think they are looking for long johns silvers buried treasure and griff has a secret map.....so hawee how many of us are metal detectarists and am i in a minority....

I've had 3 Garrets, the most recent a GTAx 750. Problem is that if I was to use it on the beach the old man would rise up from his resting ground in the Stoney Bottom and wash me away as he abhored detectorists, him being a beachcomber of the old order.

Funnily enough I do quite a bit of detecting close to home.........the Staffordshire Hoard was found a mile from me...................aaaarrrgggh

I want a one that detects whale vomit. There was a lump found on Morecambe beach and worth £100.000. It's used in the making of perfumes.
