  • missed a big bass

    well had a to today armed with a slug-go went weedless aswell with a 5g lead head got to the mark looked perfect bit overcast was rubbing my handdsanyways i casted out twitching the rod tip up and down working the lure nowt went out again and nowt again.third time lucky i was thinking chucked the slug-go out then WHOLLOP!!!!!!!!!!! i was into some thing good heart was racing!!!!got it to top off surface and yes it was a shirley gave me a right scrap shacking its head all over.got it in about 5ft from me then it happend??? one big shake off its head and it was gone sick as a chip i estimated it at at least 3lb and over gutted

    Exciting stuff mate, gutted for you ! Can you give us any clues as to where you where ? Not exact marks but which part of the coast ? I am hoping to start looking for my first Bass in the summer months but maybe I am missing it all now ..

                  Wow well done Paul a bass on a lure at this time of year is some acheivement even if it did manage to escape. Nice one.
