Crimping pliers

Which are the best to get for rig making ? Or is it Ok to use ordinary pliers ?

I use normal pliers and have no problems just don't squeeze to hard.

Don't crimp right on the end. This stops the crimp end biting into the line if you get stuck.

I bought a s****y looking pair with 3 different diameters, none of which fit a 50lb or below crimp. I just use the end of 'em now... (by s****y I mean they cost £3.50)

Just use electricians wire stripping pliers.

Normal pliers do the trick. And a medium press in the midle of the crimp is sufficient. Never the ends because could damage the line. Ive never had any issuse using normal pliers

I use a pair of long nose pliers never had a problem, crimps are very soft

PM me your address mate. I've got a pair of crimping pliers gathering rust somewhere; never use them since I moved on to making my rigs with silicone sliders

i did this , i just use my teeth now.
