David Guy Memorial Seaham Open Result 21/10/18

Well what a day it’s been...The Clubs biggest day on the fishing calendar has taken place with the running of the David Guy Memorial Seaham Open without any major problems. So a big thanks from me to the rest of the Committee and to some members who helped out on the day...
The Comp was always going to be hard to fish with the almost Mediterranean Conditions present and a Sea that was as flat and clear as Gin.
Regardless of this,some nice but few fish were caught and I have to mention What a day for young Keane Greenhow (Again) our reigning Junior Open Champion and last years Open junior winner. 2nd heaviest fish,overall heaviest bag and Junior winner (Again)
well done Keane and of course the Senior winner Stevie Williams from Jarrow.

Thanks for results Ian mate I was next to the winner and I lost a good fish 30 yards out on the ebbing tide probably a bass nearly had my rod over the prom
Hooked it dragged it about 70 yards and got snagged it tried to swim round the feather bed rock 20 minutes later no joy so had no option to go for it and lost the lot
Never mind at least a was in the right place
