Well having spent a few years boat fishing I have just swapped a boat reel for an old conoflex (about 15 years old) which is in brill condition. All I need now is a reel - that is where you guys come in. Having not cast (except uptiding) with a multiplier I would like to know what reel I should invest in I will be fishing mixed areas rough, pier etc, the rod is capable of chucking up to 7oz of lead and have up to 100 quid to spend - please help with your suggestions.
    Thanks

I use a Penn 525 mag for my mixed ground fishing and think its a great reel.
For Pier and rock fishing I use a Diawa SL30SH. I also sometimes use an abu 7000 or 9000, but my favourite is the slosh.
What do you use for uptiding? That might be suitable.
