Mark how much did you pay for it and where did you buy it, any links please.
bought it from spotty dog tackle after seeing thread on here £73.99, the shop did not have the new model in so he rang a mate who owns a shop and he is sending one out to him then me. if i was to wait he said i would get it next week
roy the reel turned up today while i was at work, very quick delivery but its gone back to the couriers depot so i am travelin to jarrow to pick it up early morning.
I know the feeling you can stop in all day then decide, i\'ll just pop round the shops, come back and it\'s been and gone do they not try to redeliver next day Mark.
Yes thanks Mark i will be going have a look at them soon, are they any good for the ruff stuff as im having a few probs with my 525 supermag, no level wind and my hand does\'nt half hurt with my arthritis. Have to keep stopping reeling in.
i hope so roy reading reviews thay sound a good reel but i do like the abu range. i will let you know after the weekend as i am fishing kelp and rock marks.
your\'e having problems with your 525 i cant get used to me 535
I don\'t know about this model but I would be very careful using any of the 6500 range for the rocks as they aren\'t much up to that. I use mine for beaches when it is light etc or with my bass rod. If you can\'t get away with the 535 for the rocks then I would suggest a Daiwa SL30. Totally different to the 535 and a much better casting reel. That said I don\'t use my 535 much but really prefer it when it is very heavy.
A good compromise for beach/rocks would be to use the SL20 if you are off the Penns. Hope this helps.
peter i will get the hang of my 535 one day lol, never really fancied a slosh though,
might drop down to the 525 mag after christmas. the 6500c4 is nice, small though with fast retreive. appart from losing loads of line in a snag
it behaved itself very well
